Foseco Exothermic Sleeve Data Now Available in NovaCast’s NovaFlow&Solid.

NovaCast Systems and Foseco are pleased to announce the successful completion of a technical cooperation that integrates Foseco Exothermic Sleeve data into NovaFlow&Solid, enabling more accurate simulations and optimized feeding system design.

NovaCast specializes in casting simulation and thermal analysis and Foseco, the foundry division of Vesuvius, is a world leading supplier of casting consumables. Together, the companies are combining their expertise to provide foundries with high-quality data for more accurate casting simulations and optimized feeding system design.

Through the integration of Foseco Exothermic Sleeve Data into NovaFlow&Solid, users can now simulate feeding and solidification processes using high-quality, manufacturer provided data and real modulus values validated through on–site customer trials. By identifying potential problems at an earlier stage, casting simulation can reduce trial and error, minimize scrap and avoid time consuming rework, helping to accelerate product development and shorten time to market. The initial database release includes Foseco’s core European product portfolio, with opportunities for future expansion based on customer needs. The encrypted database is available as a part of NovaCast Version 6.68.
